We are pleased to welcome three visiting researchers to University College Dublin as part of the RE-ROUTE project secondment programme.<\/p>\n
Zuzana \u0160v\u00e9dov\u00e1 and Libor Krej\u010d\u00ed from the Transport Research Centre, CDV in the Czech Republic will work on the development of a behavioural model of multimodal public transport users under conditions of limited or unavailable mobile connectivity. Their work will explore how connectivity disruptions may influence passenger decisions, route changes, mode selection and the overall resilience of multimodal transport services.<\/p>\n
Erin Masclet from \u00c9cole Nationale de l\u2019Aviation Civile, ENAC in France will work on identifying dangerous traffic hotspots using publicly available transport data. The project will investigate how data-driven analysis can help identify locations associated with elevated traffic risk and support safer and more intelligent transport management.<\/p>\n
The secondments form part of the wider RE-ROUTE project, which focuses on intelligent multimodal transport systems, distributed decision-making, edge computing and resilient mobility services.<\/p>\n
These visits also provide an opportunity to strengthen collaboration between UCD, CDV and ENAC, while supporting knowledge exchange across transport research, intelligent systems and data-driven mobility.<\/p>\n
